Tom Smith started the business in 1954, serving residents of Waukesha, using his bicycle to get around because he was still in high school. If the distance was farther than his bike could travel, he would ask a licensed driver to escort him to the job. He eventually did his own driving, expanding his staff and management personnel to include his wife, son, daughter and son-in-law.
The Family Business Waukesha Continues to Turn to Year After Year
In December 2012, Tom and his wife Signy retired, selling the business to its three current owners: Tom Wypiszynski (son-in-law), Paul (Tom W’s son) and Fred Kaleel (Tom W’s brother-in-law).
