Responsibilities

The position is long-term with a chance to grow into a management role.



  • This individual is responsible for providing maintenance service on residential heating and air conditioning systems while complying with and meeting company standards.
  • They must demonstrate a willingness to invest time in training, meet all necessary qualifications, troubleshoot efficiently, and have a working understanding of building codes.
  • This individual should have exceptional customer service and communications skills, be punctual, and demonstrate working knowledge of various levels of service technicians if stated.

Service Technician

Join our team at Tom’s Heating Service as a Service Technician! We’re looking for motivated individuals who are passionate about HVAC.

Position Overview

The Service Technician is responsible for performing maintenance services on residential heating and air conditioning systems while adhering to company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide maintenance services on HVAC systems
  • Troubleshoot efficiently and demonstrate knowledge of building codes
  • Exhibit exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Maintain punctuality and professionalism
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of various levels of service technicians, if applicable.


Requirements
  • Full-time position, Monday – Friday
  • On-call rotation required, with occasional weekends and evenings
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Local travel required; company vehicle supplied
  • Ability to operate tools safely
  • Willingness to obtain NATE/EPA certification if not already certified
  • Experience is a plus but not required
  • Must have all necessary hand tools
